This project call is aimed at Quebec SMEs to support technology demonstration projects. Stemming from the Quebec Aerospace Strategy, this special five-year call (started in 2017) aims to:
- Demonstrate technology in a representative environment.
- Increase SME leadership in innovation projects.
- Integrating SMEs into the innovation network.
Eligibility
The collaborative research partnership must include at least:
- The project must be led by an SME.
- Two industry partners (including the SME).
- A university, a College Centres for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT) or a Quebec public research centre (CRP).
- Technological maturity level: (NMT) TRL 6 completed at the end of the project.
- Selected research projects must be oriented towards SMEs (economy, employment).
- Project duration: 2 years.
Financing
- Project size: from $1M to a maximum of $3M*.
- The maximum financial assistance from MEI is 50%.
- Industrial or private partners must jointly contribute a minimum of 20% of the total monetary value of the project.
- Other public partners may co-finance the project if appropriate.
- Funding recipients are SMEs and research organizations in Quebec only.
CRIAQ’s project portfolio team will help you prepare your budget with proven tools to pre-qualify and obtain financing. Funding for CRIAQ projects comes entirely from the Québec Aerospace Strategy of the Quebec government’s Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE).
