Exploration-Innovation projects explore the potential of emerging technologies with the aim of generating new application ideas and/or validating technological elements within the framework of applied research projects proposed and supervised by industry and led by researchers.
Eligibility
The collaborative research partnership must include at least:
- A Quebec company.
- A university, a College Centre for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT) or a Quebec public research centre (CRP).
Financing
- Financial assistance from CRIAQ* can cover up to 40% of the total monetary value of the project, excluding other public co-financing sources.
- CRIAQ can provide financial assistance of up to $500,000 per year, or a maximum of $1,500,000 for 3-year projects.
- Industrial or private partners must contribute together a minimum of 20% of the
total monetary value of the project. - Government assistance can total up to 80% of the total cost of the project.
CRIAQ’s project portfolio team will help you prepare your budget with proven tools to pre-qualify and get financing.
*CRIAQ project funding comes entirely from the Programme de soutien aux organisations (PSO volet 2) of Quebec’s Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEI).
