This call for projects is aimed at industrialists, particularly Quebec SMEs, wishing to validate the potential of a new technology, its maturation or demonstration in an industrial environment as described in the Maturation-Innovation program, and who wish to work in partnership with partners outside Quebec in order to:

  • Develop SMEs’ capacity for innovation and international collaboration. 
  • Promote the participation of Quebec aerospace SMEs in innovation networks outside Quebec. 
  • Give visibility to Quebec’s expertise and innovations on foreign markets. 
  • Foster the development of world-class Quebec scientists and niches of excellence. 
  • Increase the exports of Quebec aerospace products and technologies to foreign markets.

Eligibility

The collaborative research partnership must include at least:  

  • Two Quebec companies, with at least 1 SME being the entity leading the project. 
  • A company outside Quebec. 
  • Existence of a business opportunity and international expertise visibility for the SME. 
  • The project must last at least 2 years. 

Financing

  • Financial assistance can cover up to 50% of eligible project expenses. 
  • Financial assistance may reach a maximum of $150,000 per Québec company and $500,000 per project; 
  • Cumulative public funding may not exceed 75% of the total monetary value of the project; 
  • Funding recipients are SMEs and research organizations in Quebec only. 

Project funding comes entirely from the Innovation Program (IP) of Quebec’s Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE), and is managed by Investissement Québec (IQ). CRIAQ acts as the sponsoring organization for the project team. CRIAQ’s project portfolio team will help you prepare your budget, using proven tools to pre-qualify and obtain financing.
