On May 24th, the 8th project under the CRIAQ Demonstration PME program was launched in Sherbrooke, at NGC Aérospatiale. UAS MaSu is a project led by Laflamme Aéro in collaboration with NGC Aérospatiale, the École de technologie supérieure and the Université de Sherbrooke, which aims to develop technologies in the field of maritime drones. This ambitious project, worth a total of $3 million, will enable the partners to design and commercialize an unmanned system capable of landing on a moving platform representing the ship’s deck.
CRIAQ is proud to support the technological development of two Quebec SMEs, which will not only contribute to the economic growth of their region (Chaudière-Appalaches for Laflamme and Estrie for NGC) by creating jobs at the end of the project; but also consolidate Canada’s leadership in the drones and new generation aircraft sector.
