With a major budget of nearly $190K, the Accelerate-Innovation for SMEs program was renewed this year, thanks to the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).
Designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises in their research and development and innovation processes, Accelerate-Innovation consists in identifying business opportunities that could generate new revenues for SMEs over a period of one to five years. The program therefore guides maturation efforts to integrate them, in concrete terms, into a technological maturation plan.
The methodology deployed includes three phases, including a strategic reflection and an action plan, while adapting to the specific needs of each SME.
Launched in 2012, CRIAQ’s Accelerate-Innovation program was a real success, particularly with Laflamme Aéro, which was looking for advice to better guide its research and development project.
